Bad news

We've been hit by a very bad news; what's supposed to be an obstruction-removal surgery in the stomach turned out to be tumor discovery. And it is bad that doctor could not remove it.

I was in the training that I could not focus on the subject anymore, eyes became watery. His dad is a stranger to me, I've never met him and yet I feel strangely close and compassionate to him. He's my partner's dad.

Partner is terribly devastated, I can tell by his voice. And I feel relieved for not being mengada and hold him back to go to his hometown on the day he got back from KK. His family needs him more than I do.

Ya Allah, please help him to recover, and may you ease his pain, and may you ease our journey. Amin.

Flushed Away

I'm watching this animation called Flushed Away at the moment, for the second time of the day. Well, yeah I have nothing better to do here in Sarawak. Went out for afternoon tea with the girls, then had dinner together.

To be honest, I can feel like I'm changing. I don't go out normally like I used to do. Before, I volunteered at every event, nowadays I dodge out upon hearing my name being mentioned. And whenever le partner goes outstation or back to his hometown in Miri, I just decided to stay at home and I just won't go out. And I can actually survive on RM50/week. That's like 10 times lower than the normal expenditure. And I don't online shop anymore. Good for the bank account.

And due to declining health of his dad, our small majlis has to be postponed. Maybe to the end of next month. I know this is a difficult situation for him and his family, but I just pray for the best. Well everything happens for a reason, right. Or maybe we could opt not to have a majlis bertunang, instead to do it in one go during nikah. Could save a lot of money.

To talk about the wedding preparation, what I have now is the place. I'm going to discuss with its management team over Gawai holiday. I like the way they handle my queries, but let that translates into real action on the day.

Wedding dress, I would like to have one designer dress for reception  (without telling my mom the price). I like Nurita Harith's collection. She's super good in draping and using pastel colors. And Arma. For nikah, I'll settle with a simple kurung moden, which can be reuse again and again.

On make up side, I've inquired several MUAs. Trust me, the price you see on other blogs, you gotta add up RM200-300 for their latest pricing. Such a good business to be in eyh, you can increase such amount in just one year time. Friends joked that they should start learning and start the business as well.

Wedding shoes, I've scouted around. I am up to support all online businesses as I only have internet as my mean of scouting. To pay a visit to each vendor is a hassle for someone who lives here. Ok so I got to know custom-made shoemakers; Christy Ng (RM200-400++), Gavy(RM100++), Saiful Sin (RM300-450++), AbsolutelyGorgeous by Amy (RM300++). Just an estimation but that's how their shoes priced.

Dais vendors, several that I have in mind is Kerja Kahwin, Merisik Gallery, Chenta Weddings. Can I afford NGI or Dicky? Hurm actually I haven't calculated my real budget on this one. But I don't mind settling down with the non-high end on this part.
